Joe Hardiman has over 23 years experience in the asset management industry. He joined American Express Bank Ltd (AEB), in 1996, which was subsequently acquired by Standard Chartered Bank in February 2008. He was the global head of the mutual fund business for AEB and the managing director of the associated Luxembourg management company. He sat on the board of directors of AEB’s entire range of fund related products including their HFOF and Private Equity offerings. He also functioned as the COO of their Cayman management company. Prior to assuming the full responsibility for the fund business, Mr. Hardiman was responsible for the operational side of the fund business and headed up their hedge fund efforts.
Before AEB, he spent 10 years at Alliance Capital in a variety of roles culminating as the head of financial and quality control.
Paul Bishop has over 16 years of mutual fund and other asset management product experience. Mr. Bishop joined American Express Bank Ltd. (AEB) in 2004, which Standard Chartered Bank subsequently acquired in February 2008. He was responsible for day-to-day operations of the Luxembourg-based asset management company. These responsibilities include oversight for Finance, Audit, Personnel, Compliance, Risk Management, and Vendor management. He was responsible for strategic planning and development supporting sustainable growth of the management company including sales, distribution, and operational enhancements. Before AEB, Mr. Bishop worked at Alliance Bernstein Asset Management. Six of his eleven years were in the non-US products business and he served as Vice President and Director of Offshore Operations during his last year. |
